Sri Lanka Trip 2011
This summer I have been given the opportunity to spend June and July working in Sri Lanka, an island nation off the southern coast of India, helping children in orphanages and possibly even ex-child soldiers who are at risk for becoming trafficking victims. It has been a whirlwind of planning and figuring out exactly what the trip is going to look like as I have been trying to do this while also ferrying back and forth between home an LA meeting with music industry people.
In the time that I have spent meeting with my Sri Lanka team, I have come up with a few things for which my team and I will need prayer and support. Since we will be traveling to a foreign country half way around the globe, we will need prayers for our protection and well-being. We will need encouragement while in-country, as we will be seeing the effects of civil war and poverty all around us. The things that we will come into contact with will likely be discouraging sights, but with your prayers, I believe that the relationships we make and the actions we take in Sri Lanka will be life changing.
